Vicksburg police are holding two men for questioning in the early Sunday morning drive-by shooting of a 19-year-old man on Elizabeth Circle, Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Williams said the victim, who was not identified, was taken to Merit Health River Region Medical Center and transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center. His condition was unknown.

The victim was shot multiple times with a handgun as he was walking in the 100 block of Elizabeth Circle about 12:05 a.m. Sunday.

The two men accused in the shooting were not identified.

Williams said they are still being questioned and have not been charged as of presstime.
