Agnes F. McCaffrey

Agnes F. McCaffrey died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at the Bluffs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was 88.
Agnes was born in Franklin Parish, La. and had been a resident of Vicksburg most of her life. She was the daughter of the late J. Y Fowler and Julia Russell Fowler. She was a graduate of Ogden High School.
Agnes was a former employee of the Valley Dry Goods Company. She was an avid gardener and baker known for her pies. Agnes was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa M. Marshall (Charlie); two sons, Patrick S. McCaffrey Jr. (Sherrie) and Tim McCaffrey (Donna).
Agnes is survived by three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Inez Kellicut and Juanita Fisher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick S. McCaffrey Sr.; her stepmother, Alice Hayles Fowler; two brothers, J. D. Fowler and Woody Williams; sister, Clara Curtis and three nieces, Judy Fowler, Jenny McDonald and Christy Fulford.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. P. J. Curley, pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at Green Lawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 St. Michael Place, Vicksburg, MS 39180 and to Vicksburg Catholic School, 1900 Grove Street, Vicksburg, MS 39183.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Sligh, the staff of the Bluffs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center and Compassus Hospice for their love and care given to Agnes in recent months.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and nephews.
