James F. ‘Jim’ Park Jr.

James F. “Jim” Park Jr. of Vicksburg passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at Shady Lawn Health and Rehabilitation. He was 77.
He was the son of James F. and Betty Lou Park.
In the early years, Jim was employed with Harris Motors of Vicksburg. He was an auto mechanic instructor with Hinds Vo-Tech in Vicksburg, and a self-employed construction contractor.
Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of Porter’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, David Park.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Elba Harris Park; three sons, James F. Park III (Bree), Charles Park, Michael Park (Tracy); one daughter, Diane Park Rogers (Charlie); 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Park and Bill Park; and one sister, Barbara Donnell.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be Frank Skinner, Tommy Skinner, Jimmy McCaskill, Melvin Marshall, Andy Cook, and Eddie Hays. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Gaines and the members of the Men’s Club of Porter’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
