Norma ‘Betty’ Logue

Norma “Betty” Logue passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at her home. She was 80.
Betty was the daughter of the late John T. and Martha Suhr of Nebraska.
In 1953, she moved to Vicksburg and attended nursing school at the Vicksburg Hospital. Betty married Robert Archie “R.A.” Logue in 1954 and became an active military wife for 23 years, traveling the United States and Europe.
She worked at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. Upon moving back to Vicksburg, Betty was employed with Waterways Experiment Station as a contract officer with 20 years of service. She received numerous awards including the Department of Army Commander Award for Civilian Service, the Family Volunteer of the Year for family services by deputy base commander, Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, Mich.
Betty was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Elinor Sunderman, and Naomi Bartels.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Robert Archie “R.A.” Logue of Vicksburg; two daughters, Lynne Myers (Emmitt) of Vicksburg, and Rebecca Carter of Tampa, Fla.; one son, Bob Logue (Lynn) of Phoenix; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Strassburg; and one brother, David Suhr.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clinton.
