Linda Farris Tuggle

Linda Farris Tuggle died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at the Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 83.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, she was co-owner, operator and manager of Crystal Pharmacy, Colonial Discount Drugs, and was the bookkeeper for the Corner Drug Store for a number of years. She also served as a hostess for the Miss Mississippi Pageant for 37 years. She was a member of Crawford Street United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Namie J. “N.J.” and Speler Assaf Farris; her husband, James V. Tuggle Jr.; her sister, Sylvia Farris; and aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Cindy) Tuggle and Jody Tuggle of Vicksburg; her brother, Wayne Farris of Vicksburg; her three grandchildren, Speler Montgomery, Daniel Tuggle and Michele Tuggle; and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, in the Glenwood Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon Thursday until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Tuggle, Jimmy Tuggle, Jody Tuggle, Kenny Warner, Don Miller and Rodney Ransome. Honorary pallbearer will be Wayne Farris.
