E.H. ‘Bud’ Martin

E.H. “Bud” Martin died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at his home in Utica. He was 87.

Born and raised in Utica, he had retired from Mississippi Valley Gas Co. after 43 years of service.

He had made his home in Greenville for a number of years, where he had served as district manager. He was a member of the Greenville Kiwanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations.

He was a lifelong farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Utica Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Allie Mae Curtis Martin; and his son, Stacy Majors Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Audie Belle Martin of Utica; his daughter, Marcarol (J.R.) Rees of Utica; his son, Steve H. Martin of Utica; his sister, Eva Nell Brown Augustine of Madison; his brother, Larry Allen Martin of Terry; his grandchildren, Michael Bryant, Jason (Regant Weyant) Bryant, Holly (Steve) Shy, Ashley Rees and Claude (Taylee) Rees III; and great-grandchildren, Colt Lane Shy, Leland Shy, Raven Sanders and Hadley Rees.

Funeral services are Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
