The Flashes swept the 200-yard freestyle, 400 freestyle and 200 medley relays. Connor Clark added a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and a second in the 100 freestyle, Tommy Martin won the 50 freestyle in 24.63 seconds, and Charlie Martin took first in the 100 breaststroke and second in the 100 butterfly.

Matthew Copes was a multiple winner, in the 100 butterfly, 500 freestyle and the medley relay.

Vicksburg’s Jonah Juve finished second in the 50 freestyle.

On the girls’ side, St. Al had four individual winners as it beat Vicksburg 52-7 and Hartfield 44-39, but lost 43-39 to Warren Central.

Victoria Gong won the 50 freestyle in 31.05 seconds, and Sarah Copes won the 100 breaststroke in 1:30.26. Adrienne Eckstein took first in the 100 backstroke and 500 freestyle.

The Lady Flashes’ dominance was broken up by Warren Central — and Carley Copelin in particular.

The freshman finished first in both the 100 and 200 freestyle, and was on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team with Aubrey Arendale, Abi Wallace and Amy McGuffie. The same team was second in the 200 medley relay.

Wallace also had second-place finishes in the 100 backstroke and 200-yard individual medley.

The Lady Vikes swept all three head-to-head team matchups as well. They beat Vicksburg 57-3 and Hartfield 43-42.
