Emma Lou Lampkin

Emma Lou Lampkin, age 76, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at University of Mississippi Medical Center.

She was born and raised in Oklahoma and had been living in Vicksburg since 1970. She was an active participant of the Vicksburg Senior Center.

She attended Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Lucille Franklin; her first husband, Kenneth J. Prince; her second husband of 43 years, Tommy F. Lampkin; her grandson, Cannon Lampkin; her daughter-in-law, LaVonne Prince; and brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Jerri Mocknick and Connie May of Vicksburg; her sons, Danny Prince, Jay Prince, Timmy Lampkin and Tommy M. Lampkin, all of Vicksburg, and Ronnie Lampkin of Mandeville, La.; her brothers, Doyle Franklin of Lehigh, Okla., Melvin Franklin of Forest and Jerry Franklin of Dallas,; her sister, Doris Jean Robison of Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service.

Pallbearers will be Austin Hasty, Taylor Lampkin, Kenneth Prince, Chris Moore, Matthew Prince, Joseph Mocknick, Jeremiah Jamison and Johnny Anderson.
