Noel Larry Jackson Sr. of Vicksburg passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 68.

Mr. Jackson was the son of the late Noel Jackson and Lalar Mae Mauldin Jackson of Golden.

He was retired from the welding profession. Mr. Jackson was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who was passionate about his beliefs and his faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Patsy Ann Dye, Shirlene Criddle, Pearlie Pauline Brabston; and one brother, Fred Lewis Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Jackson; three sons, Noel Larry Jackson Jr., Christopher Adam Jackson and Donald Ray Jackson; two grandchildren, Noel Larry (Theresa) Jackson III and Samantha Edwards; and two great-grandchildren, Nick Edwards and Isabella Edwards.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, and Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be George Ward, Thomas Gardner, Clay Brown, Steve Ladd and Tim Thorpe.
