Bonds ranging from $5,000 to $45,000 have been set for eight men arrested in a joint drug operation conducted by the Vicksburg Police Department.
Nine people were arrested in the pre-dawn roundup, tagged by law enforcement as Operation Fall Sweep. The arrests are the result of a four-month-long investigation into local drug sales, Vicksburg Police Chief Walter Armstrong said.
Police were assisted in the raid by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
The bonds were set by Judge Toni Terrett at an initial appearance for the eight in Municipal Court Friday afternoon. Initial appearances were delayed for:
• Khristopher Hearron, 44, was charged with sale of cocaine and the sale of methamphetamine. He also faces a charge of parole violation from the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He is being held at the Issaquena county Corrections Center.
