A tree falling on a power line at the corner of Cherry and Baum streets early Friday morning was the cause of an outage affecting 1,077 Entergy customers, Entergy spokesperson Shelia McKinnis said.

The outage was reported about 3:55 a.m. Friday.

“A lineman was called out, and when he got there, he found there were multiple lines involved, so we had to call out a crew,” McKinnis said. “We were able to get 90 customer back on by about 5:28, and another 479 by 5:54.”
