Man arrested for police chase

A man who fled police in his vehicle over a month ago was arrested Monday.
Joshua Moore was arrested at 2 p.m. Monday at the Days Inn on Warrenton Road and charged with felony eluding, Williams said.
Around 3 p.m. Aug. 30 police responded to a disturbance report at the Waffle House on Warrenton Road when Moore fled officers toward U.S. 61 South, she said. The chase reached speeds of up to 100 mph. Officers decided to end the pursuit because of the danger involved but not before identifying the driver as Moore, Williams said. A warrant for his arrest was then issued.
Man charged in burglary
A man accused of breaking into a local restaurant was arrested Friday.
James Smith, 50, was arrested Friday for breaking into LD’s Restaurant and charged with business burglary, Williams said.
Woman arrested on violence charge
A woman accused of violent behavior in the home was arrested Friday.
Bodicia Williams, 28, was arrested Friday on the 1300 block of Mission 66 on an earlier domestic violence complaint, and she was charged for a third offence, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Man arrested on warrants
A man with two warrants against him was arrested Monday.
Bobby Moore, 39, was served on the two warrants from an earlier operation by Vicksburg Police officers Monday on the 1200 block of Mission 66, Williams said.
