Mary Lee Miller passed away Saturday Oct. 15, 2016, at her home. She was 73.

Services will be Saturday, Oct. 22, at Mount Alban M. B. Church with the Rev. Henry Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.

Mary Lee “MayLee” Miller was born July 22, 1943, to the late Dan Joe Sr. and Rosie Lee Haggan. Mary confessed Christ at an early age and passed away Oct. 15, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dan Joe Sr. and Rosie Lee Haggan; grandparents, Dan and Eliza Haggan, and Mose and Roberta Pinkney; her husband, Jessie James Miller; daughter, Betty Bell; her two brothers, Dan Haggan Jr. and Robert Haggan; her sister, Marie Haggan; a nephew, Leron Haggan; and a niece, Latoshia Haggan.

She is survived by her sons Jessie Miller and Joseph (Aretha)  Miller both of Vicksburg, and Willie Miller of Jackson; her daughters, Helen Jones and Gloria (James) Lee, both of Vicksburg; her sisters, Rosie Haggan , Beulah Evans and Gloria Haggan, all of Vicksburg; her brothers Leon (Reva) Haggan, Mose Haggan and Bobby (Carrie) Haggan, all of Vicksburg; an uncle, Robert (Gloria) Pinkney; two aunts, Annie Marie Pinkney of Vicksburg and Alice Curtis of Jackson; and a host of other relatives, including the Miller, Haggan, Evans , Hunter and Pinkney families.
