Samuel Edwin ‘Eddie’ Haden

Samuel Edwin “Eddie” Haden died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 59.

Eddie was born in Vicksburg, June 17, 1957, to Gertrude and JB Haden. Eddie was raised in his family business, “Haden Hardware” along with his two brothers.

Eddie married his high school sweetheart, Ann Derivaux, in December 1981. Eddie was such an honest man, caring, selfless and enjoyed doing for others.

He was bigger than life, always smiling with a joke to tell.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.

He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman and shared these interests with his daughters and grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jefferson Bernard “JB” Haden; and a grandson, Jefferson “Knox” Pickett.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Derivaux Haden; two daughters, Heidi Haden Pickett (Robert) and Kelly Haden Meeks (Nicholas); and one grandson, Aideyn Glenn Pickett.

Additionally, he is survived by his mother, Gertrude Haden; and two brothers, Ken Haden (Debbie) and Mike Haden (Rinda).

A service and a Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Lalor and Dr. Matt Buckles officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. on Friday until the hour of service at the church.

Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bart Durst, Kevin Goza, Paul Tuccio, Jack Leist, George Kette, Rob McCain, Mac Ferris and Bill Loyacono.

Memorials may be made to Vicksburg Catholic School, Baptist Children’s Village or Storehouse Community Food Pantry.
