A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football and NFL games over the weekend:
• Grambling linebacker DeArius Christmas (Warren Central) had four total tackles and two sacks in a 59-10 win over Mississippi Valley State.

• Cornell College (Iowa) running back Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) carried the ball twice for two yards in a 28-24 win over Knox College.

• Delta State defensive back Devontae Wilson (Warren Central) had five solo tackles, one assist, and one-half tackle for loss in a 56-27 loss to Valdosta State.

• Ole Miss offensive lineman Talbot Buys (Porters Chapel Academy) saw playing time on special teams in a 38-21 loss at LSU.

• Belhaven offensive lineman Steve Cooper (Vicksburg High) started at left guard in a 52-30 loss to Louisiana College. Belhaven linebacker Denarrius Noel (Hinds AHS) had five total tackles.

• New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had three solo tackles, three assists, three pass defenses and one interception — his first of the season — in a 27-16 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
