3 injured in Mississippi Highway 3 wreck

Three people were taken to the hospital Thursday night following a wreck in Warren County.
At 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to Mississippi Highway 3 near Bellbottom Road to an accident involving two vehicles, said MHP pubic affairs state trooper Eric D. Henry.
A Dodge Ram was traveling south on Mississippi Highway 3 when it was rear ended by a Ford F-150 that was also traveling southbound, Henry said.
The driver of the Dodge was taken to Merit Health River Region Medical Center and later airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
There was also a passenger inside the Dodge that was taken to River Region with injuries.
The driver of the Ford was taken to River Region with injuries.
Alcohol may have played a factor in the crash, Henry said.
The accident is under investigation.
Man arrested in Adams County on two charges

NATCHEZ — A Vicksburg man was arrested Thursday in Adams County after reportedly stealing a truck from his neighbor’s residence in Vicksburg.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said in a statement that the victim reported the vehicle stolen by his neighbor Jimmie Patrick Knight, 22, 115-B Blackwell Road, and that Knight was reportedly in the Natchez area.
Deputies spotted Knight reportedly driving the truck in the 800 block of Liberty Road, where he pulled into a residence.
Knight was arrested for possession of stolen property.
While on the scene, the resident of the Liberty Road residence reportedly told deputies he had purchased a handgun from Knight. The gun as well as the truck was reported stolen in Warren County, and Knight was also charged with possession of a stolen firearm. Knight was being held in the Adams County Jail Thursday evening without a bond.
