Frankie “Nanny” Strong Peterson, 87, passed away Oct. 26, 2016, at Promise Hospital.

Born in Copiah County, she lived in Vicksburg since 1967.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Patterson Jr.; daughter, Sharon K. Patterson; grandson, Kenneth Patterson II; sisters, Thelma D. Jacks, Cleo Dixon and Frances Strong; and brother, Clayton A. Strong.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth F. Patterson and Michael H. Patterson, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Holly J. Hollowell and Marsh A. Purvis, both of Vicksburg; one brother, Bill Strong of Hazlehurst; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at the Glenwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. The Rev. Roger Cresswell will be officiating the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Patterson, Cody Hollowell, Jordan Emerle, Mason Patterson, Alexis Patterson and Brooke Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Strong, Herbert Strong, Bill Strong, Steve Strong, Clayton Strong Jr., Steven Galey, Charles Dixon, Lon Strong and Russell Hollowell.
