1 shot early Saturday morning

A Vicksburg man was shot early Saturday morning in the 3200 block of Drummond Street, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

She said the shooting occurred about 4 a.m. Saturday.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken by a private vehicle to Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

No arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation.
