A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football games played over the weekend:
• Grambling linebacker De’Arius Christmas (Warren Central) had seven total tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and a forced fumble in a 56-17 win over Alabama A&M.
• Alcorn State wide receiver Tavares Johnson, Jr. (Vicksburg High) caught a team-high five passes for 63 yards in a 31-27 loss to Prairie View A&M.
• Ole Miss offensive lineman Talbot Buys (Porters Chapel Academy) saw playing time on special teams in a 37-27 win over Georgia Southern.
• Cornell College (Iowa) running back Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) returned one kickoff for 13 yards in a 31-28 win over Ripon College.
• Belhaven linebacker Denarrius Noel (Hinds AHS) had three total tackles in a 59-21 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor.
