Julia C. Frizell departed this life Nov. 13, 2016, in Vicksburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, O. J. Frizell; her son, Michael Eugene Frizell; father and mother, Sinclair Coleman and Elsie Elizabeth Coleman; sisters Earline Everett and Mary Clair Paul; and brother, Thomas Rowland “Son” Coleman.

She is survived in life by her daughters, Betsy Holifield, Pat Savoie and Dawn Rankin; her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert Eugene “Brut” Coleman; as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Julia Francis was known affectionately by her family and friends as “Dootsie,” and by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Mimi.”

Mimi will always be remembered for her gentle and good-natured personality, her independent, fun spirit and the love she had for her family.

A celebration of her life is Tuesday, Nov. 15th at Stricklin King Funeral Home Chapel in Yazoo City.

Visitation will be at 1p.m. with the service following at 2.
