Joseph Anderson “Pete” Hall

Joseph Anderson “Pete” Hall died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at his home. He was 83.
Born June 11, 1933, in Yazoo City, he was the son of the John Henry Hall and Josephine Twiner Hall.
Pete married Verna Louise Pharr on Oct. 9, 1954. He served in the Army, receiving the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Pete retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad with 42 years of service. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Pete attended Crossway Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Louise, and their children, Fredia Layton (Doug), Jessie Hall and Lynn Moorehead (Jim).
He is survived by grandchildren, Corey Smith (J.T.), Trent Layton, David Hall (Christine), Ben Moorehead, Maris Moorehead; a great-grandchild, Makayla Smith; and a sister, Johnnie Mauck.
Services were 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at Riles Funeral Home with Terry White and T. J. Tennison officiating. Burial was at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jed Mihalyka, Harold Blue, Wren Way, Greg Duncan, Jimmy Vessel, Nelson Copeland, David Wright and Rowdy Nosser. Honorary pallbearers will be John Mauck and Weldon Mackey.
