Funeral services for Charles Albert “I.I. Cool” Thomas Sr. will be Sunday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. at Bright Morning Star M.B. Church with the Rev. Dellie C. Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Mr. Thomas passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, at University of Mississippi Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 58.

He was employed by the National Park Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Helen Woods Thomas; and a grandchild

He is survived by his wife, Selena Thomas of Vicksburg; his sons, Charles Albert Thomas Jr. and Derrick Thomas, both of Vicksburg; his daughter, La Donna Anderson of Vicksburg; his three brothers, Randy Thomas of Vicksburg, Ron Walters of Chicago and Michael Thomas of Portland, Ore.; his five sisters, Hazel Robinson, Mary Banks, Martha Thomas, Rena Allam and Zandra Williams, all of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
