Shirley Mayhall died Dec. 18, 2016, at Merit Health River Region. He was 81 years old.

Mr. Mayhall was born in Inverness and had lived in Vicksburg most of his life.

He was preceded in death by a son, Carter Mayhall; and his parents, Carter M. and Eunice Virginia Mayhall.

He is survived by a son, David Mayhall of Vicksburg; two daughters, Debra Walker of Vicksburg and Donna Kerr of Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday Dec. 21, 2016, from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home. graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to any VA office or location of your choice.
