Victor Ralph Hilderbrand Sr.

Victor Ralph Hilderbrand Sr. died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at Promise Hospital in Vicksburg. He was 80 years old.

Ralph was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of The IBEW Electrical Local 480.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Hilderbrand; a son, Vince Coody; and his father and mother, Victor Hugo Hilderbrand and Willie Lucille Hilderbrand.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Hilderbrand of Vicksburg; son, Victor “Rusty” Hilderbrand Jr. of Vicksburg; two stepsons, Jim Tucker of Ridgeland and Justin Tucker of Edwards; a daughter, Debra Landers of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Celeste Moody of Molton, Ala. and Cindi Newton of Star City, Ark.; a sister, Helen Juanita Flanders of Houston; five grandchildren, Katie Moore, Jessie Hilderbrand, Nikki Hilderbrand, Amber Landers Keen and Cole Landers; 13 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Yokena Cemetery. Glenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Bubba Daigre, David Cochran, David Lyons, Benny McMillan, Kelly Landers and Sammy Landers. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Hattaway, Jimmy Stanford, Tommy Simrall, John Leigh Hyland and Harvey Landers.
