Funeral services for Thomas “Bam” Summers will be Saturday, Jan. 7, in the First Baptist Church, 1511 1/2 Lane St., at noon with the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. There will be a visitation hour held Friday, Jan. 6, in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Thomas Summers passed away suddenly Jan. 1. He was 53. 

He was a security guard at Wal-Mart, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Inez Minor Summers Jr.; his brother, Ronald “Vamp” Summers; and his sister, Kathy Summers.

He is survived by his two sons, Jerrick Neal and Jeremy Summers, both of Vicksburg; his daughter, Thomea Summers of Vicksburg; his brother, Riley Summers III; his two sisters, Bernetta Summers and Brenda Summers, both of Vicksburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
