Steven ‘Steve’ Busma Sr.

Steven “Steve” Busma Sr., died Monday, Jan. 16, 1017, at the age of 58.

Born in Teaneck, N. J., he had been a resident of Vicksburg for 32 years. Steve served in the U. S. Marine Corps where he held the grade of E4. He was an instrument technician with the Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant for the past 32 years. Steve was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah “Debbie” McCaffrey Busma; a daughter, Kimberly Aileen Wade (Joel); and a son, Steven John Busma Jr.

He is also survived by his mother, Carol M. Busma; a brother and four sisters.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Albert Busma, and a brother.

Services will be Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brumfield, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from noon Thursday until the service.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 6959 Highway 61 South, Vicksburg, MS 39180.

Pallbearers will be Ken Lumbley, Mike Vincent, Steve Williams, Thomas Murray, Justin Moudy, Mark Ford, Jason Smith and Matt Barnhart.
