Ruthie Lee Williams

Ruthie Lee Williams was born Aug. 29, 1931, to the late Albert and Mamie Smith.

She received Christ at an early age and was married to the late James Williams.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Smith; and a grandson, Antonio Williams.

She was currently serving as a mother on the mother board at Greater St. Luke Baptist Church.

She was the proud mother of 10 beautiful children, Thomas Smith of Detroit, Aaron Smith (Linda) of Vicksburg, Vickie Libbett (Dave) of Big Rapids, Mich., LeaVera Haggard, Johnny Williams, Issac Williams (Wanda), Bernice Williams, Carolyn Luster, Ida Williams and Lemond Williams (Tanna), all of Vicksburg; 35 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Birdie (Sophie) Brown (Willie) of Vicksburg, Tellzenia Smith of Santa Maria, Calif., and Johnnie Mae Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, C.J. Smith of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Hugh Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
