LANCASTER, PA. — Patricia Hackman Ebersole, 85, of Lancaster, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Bernard W. Ebersole Jr., who died Dec. 23, 2007.

A registered nurse, Pat retired in 1994 from LGH, Downtown Lancaster. She was a 1952 graduate of the Lancaster General School of Nursing.

Born Dec. 8, 1931, in Ephrata, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alger T. and Bertha W. (Eshelman) Hackman. A Christian, Pat was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Lancaster. Pat enjoyed playing cards with her friends.

She is survived by two sons, Bernard W. Ebersole III married to Jennifer J. (Matlack), of West Chester, Pa. and Bruce A. Ebersole married to Mary Story (Stamm), of Vicksburg; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth “Bette” Bender (2011), and a grandson, Bruce Alan Ebersole.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the funeral service to be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home-Sullivan Home, 121 South Prince St., Downtown Lancaster, Pa. 17603 (on-site parking with attendants) on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2017, at 2 p.m. Friends may view at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home-Sullivan Home-Lancaster on Wednesday afternoon between 1 and 2 p.m. Interment will be held in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, Millersville, Pa.
