Johnnie Riddell Ward of Raymond died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017.  She was 88.

She was a lifelong resident of Raymond until a few years ago when she moved to Heritage House in Vicksburg.  She was known for playing the piano at several churches and telling a good joke. She was active in the Raymond community and loved by many.

Her husband, Cecil C. Ward and her parents preceded her in death. 

Survivors are her daughters, Cecilia Young of Raymond and Teresa Chaney of Vicksburg; and four granddaughters, Cherie Cotton (Frank) of Brandon, Lacey Lee (Ryan) of Vicksburg, Logan Garner (Evan) of Birmingham and Liza Tidwell (Blake) of Vicksburg; and seven great-grandchildren with another one on the way.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Raymond Baptist Church. 

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Raymond Cemetery.
