Porters Chapel Academy had its best hitting day of this young season — or nearly any other — as six players had multi-hit games and it routed Benton Academy 29-11 on Monday.

Cole Pittman led the way with six hits. Brayden Ray had five, Bradley McCullough four, Brandon Thompson three, and Ryan Collins and Bailey McMillian two each.

Kyle Guider (2-0) allowed three runs, one earned, in three innings to get the win. Josh Hunt pitched three scoreless innings of relief to lock down the victory.
