Roger Wayne Hasty died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at the Merit Health River Region. He was 63.

Born in Yazoo City, he had lived most of his life in Vicksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Inman and Ada Lorine Hasty; and his brothers, Mack Arthur Hasty and Plezy Hasty.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kristy Hasty and Holly Hasty, both of Vicksburg; his sister, Beverly (Tommy) Hefner of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; his three brothers, Harvey (Margie) Hasty of Yazoo City, Louis (Karen) Hasty and Hugh (Judy) Hasty, both of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Abbie Miller, Colin Miller and Johnathan Hasty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dathan Tipton officiating.

Visitation will be from noon Thursday until the hour of the service.

The family has special thanks to the staff of Shady Lawn Nursing Home and the staff at Merit Health River Region ICU and CVR units.
