Edward Lee McDonald died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, in Carpenter. He was 62.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosia McDonald; brothers, John McDonald Jr., Bennie McDonald and James Neal; sisters, Irene Davis and Addie Henderson.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lucinda McDonald of Vicksburg; four daughters, Earlean Flowers of Louisville, Ky., Keysha McDonald, Tonya McDonald and Sharita McDonald Hunt, all of Vicksburg; son, Edward Antonio McDonald of Vicksburg; brothers, Clarence McDonald, Oscar McDonald and Charles McDonald, all of Carpenter, and Isiah McDonald of Utica; sister, Johnnie Mae Owens of Pattison; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Bypass Church of Christ, U.S. 61 North, with Dr. Willie Nettle officiating.

Burial will follow at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church cemetery in Carpenter under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2017, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 7 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.
