A Vicksburg man is charged with one count of child exploitation, according to information from Attorney General Jim Hood’s office.

William Eugene Wicker Jr., 39, was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond jail records show.

He was arrested at his home Tuesday by investigators with the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit following an investigation into Wicker’s online activity, and was made after the investigators executed a search warrant on his home.

Warren County Sheriff’s deputies assisted in the arrest.

If convicted, Wicker faces up to 40 years in prison and a $500,000 fine, according to the Attorney General’s office.
