An autopsy has been ordered for a man whose body was found dead with a gunshot wound in a home at 717 Bridge St. Monday evening, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

“Right now we are treating this as a death investigation,” she said. The man has not been identified pending further investigation.

Police were called to the Bridge Street home where the man lived about 7 p.m. and arrived to find the man dead.
