Jimmie Alvin Johnson Sr. of Vicksburg, formerly of Newellton, La., died April 12, 2017 at Merit Health River Region. He was 75.

Service will be noon Friday, April 14, at the St. Joseph United Pentecostal Church, 1243 Plank Road, in St. Joseph, La.

Burial will follow at Legion Cemetery in Newellton.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
