Doris Eloise “Dot” Bagby passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017.  She was 91. 

She was the daughter of Frank and Lucille Bufkin. She was a graduate of Carr Central High School, Class of 1944. 

She married James “Red” Bagby in 1945. She was a retired employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Barry Alan Bagby; one sister, Grace Smith; and two brothers, Frank Bufkin and Tommy Bufkin. 

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Bagby (Lee) of Vicksburg; one daughter, Barbara Petersen (Bob) of Vicksburg; a daughter in law, Laurie Bagby of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Bagby, Heather Jackson, Alan Bagby, Karen Sales, Chelsea Whitten, Cody McCain, Laura Woodward, Ashlee Steele, Mary Beth Quimby and Carey Bagby; and 16 great-grandchildren. 

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. 

Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Jamie Bagby, Alan Bagby, Cody McCain, Carey Bagby, Claude Bagby, Jim Smith, Frank Bufkin and Bubba Bufkin.
