Vicksburg police have a suspect in custody after a Saturday night shooting in which a man was shot in the head and killed at a home at 200 Starlight Drive, Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Benjamin Brooks Jr., 19, was declared dead at the scene, deputy Warren County coroner Kelda Bailess said.
Police were called about the shooting at the home about 10:02 p.m. Saturday. A handgun was recovered from the scene, and the suspect is being held in the Issaquena County Corrections Facility.
Williams declined to name the suspect on Sunday, citing the need for further investigation.
Williams said no motive for the shooting has been determined and the shooting remains under investigation.
