To the editor:

We have just paid Memorial Day tribute to the countless number of veterans who fought and died for us, ensuring that we continue to enjoy the freedom guaranteed by their sacrifice.

On Tuesday, those of us who live in the city have the opportunity to repay those heroes by exercising our sacred right to vote — a responsibility inherent in that priceless freedom.

Let’s make it to the polls on Tuesday, and vote in this important election!

We will choose Vicksburg’s mayor, along with North and South Ward aldermen — those who will lead our city the next four years.
