Marie Ursula Pantoliano

Marie Ursula Pantoliano of Vicksburg died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at her home. She was 96.

She was born in Vicksburg, March 5, 1921, to the late Thomas D. Pantoliano Sr. and Philomena Cavallo Pantoliano. She spent most of her life in Vicksburg and went to St. Francis Xavier Academy, graduating in the class of 1938.

She worked as city clerk for the city of Vicksburg for 47 years, serving all the elected mayors until her retirement. She lived with her mother her entire life after loosing her father at an early age, and cared for her mom until she passed at the age of 101. She was involved in different charities and was a faithful communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Christine Cavallo Bucci; one uncle, Emile B. Cavallo; her brother, Thomas D. Pantoliano Jr. of Orlando Fla.; first cousins, Don R. Bucci of Vicksburg, Dr. Robert J. Bucci M.D. of Canyon Lake, Texas,  Andrew A. Bucci of Fort Washington, Md. and then briefly back in Vicksburg; a nephew, Michael J. Pantoliano; and he left behind a son, Troy Pantoliano.

She is survived by Thomas D. Pantoliano Jr.’s wife, Mable A. Pantoliano; her first cousin Bob’s wife, Joan Mary Bucci and their children and family; her first cousin Don’s wife, Margaret Frances Salmon Bucci and their children and families.

Also, her nephews and niece by Tom and Mable, Thomas E. Pantoliano and his wife Susie, Ann Marie Pantoliano, husband Bruce Stevens, deceased, children Angelina and Michael, and grandson Greyson; Gerald H. Pantoliano, children, Nicholas and Madison, Kenneth J. Pantoliano and his wife Lori, children, Nicholas and Christina and David A. Pantoliano and his wife Lisa, children, Amy and husband Ronnie Bullard and children, Ryan and Hailey, Karen and husband, Josh Gaudette and children, Zachary, Ian, Sweet Baby Olivia.

“Death comes not to the living soul, nor age to the loving heart”. 

Services will be noon Saturday, June 17, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Lalor officiating. 

Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service.
