Funeral services for Shirley Mae Cotton Thornton are to be held on Friday, June 30 in the Cool Springs M. B. Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev Byron Maxwell officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.

Shirley Mae Cotton Thornton passed away on Wednesday, June 21 in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

She was 68.
