On the evening of Aug. 12, 2017, Robert Louise passed away into the loving arms of Jesus and his family. He was 80 years old. He lived a full life of happiness.

Robert was born on Aug. 20, 1936 in McNair. He was one of seven children.

Robert raised his family in Vicksburg where he worked and retired after 40 years of service at Marathon Letourneau as supervisor over the steel department. He was a loving husband, companion, father and brother, who he loved and cherished to care for those he loved.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Evelyn, mother and father Steve and Sarah Ruth Bryant, four brothers, Steve, Jr., George, Lawrence, Henry and two sisters, Marie Zimmerman and Wauneta Allen, son-in-law Keith Kerr, and stepson Chuck Barfield.

He is survived by two daughters Barbara Strain (John), Lisa Bryant Kerr (Keith) and loving companion of 22 years Kay Barfield, stepdaughters Debra Barfield, and Debbie Barfield, six grandchildren, Courtney Gregg (Shane), Mary Allen (John), John Bryant Strain (Erin), Brittany Thomason (John), and Brandi Toney and numerous loving great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with John Strain, Master of Divinity officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Bryant Strain, Johnny Bryant, Ronnie Bryant, D’Wayne Bryant, Dana Allen and Jeff Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Pillips, Gardner Carpenter, Stan Mullins and Dusty Grau.
