Teen facing charges for possession of firearm

A Vicksburg teen faces charges of possession of a stolen firearm after his arrest Friday by police, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnny Edwards said.
Christopher Donald Ashley, 19, is being held without bail in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility pending an initial appearance Monday in Vicksburg Municipal Court.
Edwards said Ashley is accused of having a rifle and a shotgun reported stolen from a home in June 2016 and pawning them at a local pawnshop.
In other cases:
• Patrick Caples, 36, faces auto burglary charges after his arrest Friday in the area of Mission 66 Park, Vicksburg police Edwards said.
Caples was being held without bail in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility pending an initial appearance Monday in Municipal Court. He is accused of breaking into two cars parked at the park. Edwards said he was arrested after witnesses identified him, and he had some items taken from one of the cars at the time of his arrest.
• Kwesi Crawley, 31, is charged with arson involving a fire at 126 Alcorn Drive.
Crawley was arrested Sept. 12. He is accused of setting a garbage can next to an apartment building and setting it on fire after an argument with his ex-girlfriend, who lived in the complex.
He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
