Robbie Johnson, 34, was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle following an incident in the parking lot of Merit Health River Region Saturday evening.
Warren County sheriff Martin Pace said officers responded to River Region around 8:30 p.m. Saturday following a report of shots fired in the parking lot.
“Callers were able to provide a description of the vehicle, which was either a blue or green small vehicle last seen traveling south on Highway 61 towards Vicksburg,” Pace said. “Just minutes after that, Warren County deputies spotted the vehicle on 61 as it a approached the Interstate 20 interchange.”
Warren County deputies, with assistance from Vicksburg Police officers, stopped the vehicle near the Beechwood intersection where they detained Johnson. Pace said two spent shells and a loaded 9mm handgun were recovered from the scene.
“The deputies that were responding to the scene at River Region were able to locate the area where the shooting occurred,” Pace said. “It was there that they located another spent shell.”
Johnson allegedly fired into a 1997 Chevy pick-up driven by a male acquaintance, but no one was injured, Pace said.
“The suspect and a male acquaintance had apparently had words in the parking lot and she fired we believe at least three shots into his vehicle,” Pace said. “Other deputies made contact with the victim. He had three bullet holes in the bed of his truck, but none of them struck the driver who was in the truck by himself.”
Johnson is currently being held in Warren County Jail without bond and will have her initial appearance in justice court Monday.
Also on Saturday evening, Vicksburg Police officers arrested Shermondia Hodge, 29, and Jamal Williams, 31, for possession of cocaine following a traffic stop.
“Officers conducted a traffic stop at Oakland and Court streets,” Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said. “They were speeding. Vicksburg Police stopped them and recovered cocaine.”
Hodge and Williams are being held in Issaquena County Correctional Facility and will be arraigned in municipal court Monday.
