STARKVILLE — Mississippi State’s baseball team will play six intrasquad scrimmages at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson this fall, the school announced Wednesday.
The Bulldogs will play three games Oct. 27-29, at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night, 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. Sunday.
They will return to Smith-Wills Nov. 17-19 for the three-game Maroon and White World Series that concludes the fall season. Game times for those scrimmages have not yet been set.
All six scrimmages at Smith-Wills will be open to the public.
The games are being played in Jackson because Dudy Noble Field in Starkville is undergoing a $55 million renovation project. Work will not be completed until 2019, but MSU will still play games at Dudy Noble during the 2018 regular season in the spring.
