Robert John Croisdale Sr.

Robert John Croisdale Sr., died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Promise Hospital. He was 71. 

Mr. Croisdale was a native of Niagara Falls, N.Y.  He lived in North Tonawanda, N.Y. for a number of years and also Shelbyville, Tenn., for 13 years before settling in Vicksburg. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Sandra Ann Croisdale; his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Croisdale; three brothers, Richard, Louie and Charles; and his sister, Genevieve Huckabone.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Talbert Croisdale of Vicksburg; three daughters, Kimberly Milani, Cynthia Andolina (Sal), Cassandra Croisdale-Smith (Lane); a son, Robert Croisdale Jr.; two stepsons, Seth Fox (Leti) and Caleb Fox; his goddaughter, Lisa Krul Guerrero; two brothers, Clarence (Sonny) and Lawrence (Sandra) Croisdale; brother-in-law, Mike Talbert; sister-in–laws, Genie Leblanc, Suzanne Talbert, Pat McCarthy, Mary McArthur, and Gingi Hickey; seven grandchildren, Brendan, Mary Beth (Joseph), Michael, Sal, Anthony, Joseph and Breanna; six stepgrandchildren, Colby, Chloe, Alexandria, Nicholas, Jason and Ethan; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Paisley and Charles; two sister-in-laws, Audrey and Marion Croisdale; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of The Rotary Club of Vicksburg where he received the Harry Gillespie Rotarian of the Year Award for 2010-2011, United Way of Central Mississippi and served as Leadership Giving Chair in 2013, Alcorn State Advisory Council, Niagara Catholic Alumni Association, Knights of Columbus; Vice President of the Board of Education in North Tonawanda, N.Y., an avid pro-life sponsor, member of the Republican Party Committee, St. Michael’s Catholic Church serving as Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Bereavement Committee. He was also very involved with Warren Vicksburg School District, including the start of the Mentor program.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. 

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Glenwood Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Michael Croisdale, Lane Smith, Joseph Borrello, Eric Roper, J. D. Turner, Charles Caldwell, Sal Andolina and Caleb Fox.
