VPD: 15 guns reported stolen from residence

Fifteen guns — seven handguns and eight rifles — were reported stolen from a home in the 1400 block of Wisteria Drive, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnny Edwards said.

The theft was reported Tuesday about 8:56 p.m. Edwards said $1,300 were also taken in the theft.

• Electronics were reported stolen in the Sunday burglary of a home in the 400 block of Farmer Street.

The items were reported missing about 5:15 p.m. Taken were a PlayStation 4, Wii game system, Dell laptop computer, 32-inch Emerson flat screen TV, Amazon Fire Stick and a 32-inch Sony TV.

• A credit card and $100 were reported taken Sunday from a 2007 GMC pickup parked at the Ameristar Casino, 4146 Washington Street.

• A green Ford Fusion, no year listed, was reported stolen Sunday from Prospect Street.

• Three people were arrested Saturday on drug charges after a police investigation into drug activity.

Edwards said officers arrested James, Whatley, 35, Paula Kelly, 41, and Alvis Christon, 40, Saturday night after a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Washington Street.

They are charged with possession of methamphetamine in connection with the stop. Christon was also charge with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

All three were being held without bail in the Warren County Jail. Kelly and Christon each have holds placed on them by the Mississippi Department of Corrections, jail records show.
