The fast pitch softball community in Vicksburg cannot say enough good things about the City of Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Department. We have held four softball tournaments in Vicksburg in 2017 and each one has gained steam and was bigger and better than the previous. 

On Saturday the 14th of October, we had 18 teams in Vicksburg playing softball in our complex. The teams were from Louisiana and Mississippi and the majority had never played in Vicksburg.

The Parks and Recreation department did a fantastic job with the complex and the ladies field getting them ready to play on. 

We received numerous compliments from parents and grandparents of players and coaches of teams as to how nice our fields were and how good our complex looked. Coaches complimented us also on the pitching stations and batting cages and warm up areas we had available to them.

We just want to publicly say thanks to Alex Monsour and his entire Parks and Recreation team for the  work they do for the young athletes in the city of Vicksburg. 

We believe 2018 will be tremendously better than 2017 and we know the Parks and Recreation department will be there whenever we need them to have us ready to compete with any city in Mississippi or Louisiana.
