Joseph Veto Teague Jr. died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Merit Health River Region. He was 86.

Mr. Teague was born on Sept. 10, 1931, in Tchula.

After graduating from high school, he served in the U. S. Navy as a Seabee.  After his service in the Navy, he graduated from Mississippi State University. He was a mechanical engineer for the U. S. Government for 29 years.

He is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Veto Teague III.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lynn Teague of Vicksburg; his brother, William Teague of Coila; and his dog Willie.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Moorehead Baptist Church in Moorehead. Burial will follow in Moorehead Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Bill Hood, Rob Hood, Kyle Hood, Ellis Russell, Evan Russell and Mike Hood.
