Ruby Jewel Ferguson Halm, 88, entered peacefully into heaven on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the devoted wife of the late Eddie “Sonny” Halm for 41 years and a loving mother of David Wayne Halm (Sally) of Hawaii; Brenda Halm Cunningham (Terry) of Westwego, La.; Steve Allen Halm (Diana) of Independence, La.; Rosemary Halm Brooks-Mathes of Marrero, La.; Melody Halm Breaux (Gerald) of Marrero, La.; and Sandra Halm Kennedy-Heausler (Christian) of Mandeville, La.

She is also the proud grandmother of Victoria Cunningham Becnel French (Jacob), Sharon Cunningham, Joseph Halm (Jenna), Stacey Halm Ducote (Wesley), Jewel Brooks, Audrey Brooks, Sunny Breaux, Sarah Breaux Garitty (Kevin), Kacie Kennedy-Rodrigue (Michael), Cristina Kennedy-Wall (Nick), Sean Kennedy, Cole Heausler, Anna Heausler; and a great-grandmother of Caitlin Brooks, Adriana David, Kameron Becnel and Thomas Wall.

She was the daughter of the late Rosie Lee Shiers Ferguson and Howard Thomas Ferguson of Vicksburg. She was the sister of Hazle Ferguson Hill-Fletcher (Sidney) of Vicksburg; Velma Ferguson Sanderford-Pitts (Ernest) of Vicksburg, Joyce Ferguson Grey-Wright (JW) of Vicksburg, Margie Ferguson Beard (Charles) of Metairie, La., and Violet Ferguson Moore-Henderson-Carlise (William) of Vicksburg. She was also survived by numerous loving nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends who will miss her dearly.
