Brian David Tinney

BATESVILLE — Brian David Tinney, 48, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House after a sudden illness.

He was born Sept. 8, 1969, to Thomas Gayle and Patricia Ann Bell Tinney.

In 1989, he graduated from South Brunswick in Southport, N.C.

He graduated from Catawba College in N.C. with an agricultural degree in botany and turf management. Brian worked as the superintendent of turf management at numerous golf courses and was a member of the Gold Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). He spent most of his time golfing, enjoyed tinkering with motorcycles and fishing. He loved animals and always had multiple dogs.

Survivors include his parents, Tom and Pat Tinney of Vicksburg; daughter, Sierra Breckenridge (fiancé, Drake Jefferson) of Richmond, Texas; granddaughter, Dallas Jefferson; brother, John Tinney (Tessie) of Hernando; sister, Heather Reeves (Wes) of Huntsville, Ala.; aunts and uncle, Bob and JoAnn Bell of Riverside, Calif.; and Bonny Tinney of Sewickley, Pa.
